CLIMBING MOUNTAINS IN VIETNAM


Vietnam has some of the less dangerous and the ideal place to climb mountains, which sceneries are beautiful, including some of the high mountain valleys, terraced fields and some of the huge limestone hill. There are some of places to climb mountain, We’re going to introduce below:

1.Ba Na Mountain – Da Nang Province

Ba Na is one of the great and dangerous mountain for someone who love discoverying the adventure experiences. Go through the forest, or walking into the forest, some of the stream, you will easily see some safety tips. Therefore, to conquer the Ba Na mountain is also a challenge for explorers. To prepare backpacks, sleeping bags or tent if you want to start your Climbing journey.

Let’s pass to forest, watch some rare orchids in the height, or enjoy a little wine , near the fire in the evening, enjoy the scenery with the sky is full of stars.Although climbing mountain  is very exhausted , when you climb to the top of the hill, you will be attracted by the beautiful natural scenery.

 

2.Fansipan Mountain- Lao Cai Province

Fansipan Mountain is located 9km south-west of Sapa Townlet in the Hoang Lien Mountain Range. Fansipan is branded "the Roof of Indochina" at the height of 3, 143m; Fansipan is to be approved as one of the very few eco-tourist spots of Vietnam, with about 2, 024 floral varieties and 327 faunal species. 
It takes six or seven days to reach the 3, 143m summit, the highest peak of the Indochina Peninsula. the best time for the trek to the mountain is from the end of February to the start of March, when the flowers all flourish and the climbers may be hold them.

The conquest of Mount fansipan is a very intense journey. The dry springs are some pebbles, high and dangerous slopes, steep slopes...

 

 

3.Yen Tu Mountain–Quang Ninh Province

Yen Tu Mountain is one of the highest peaks in the Dong Trieu Mountains in the north-eastern area of Vietnam, located within the area of Uong Bi Town, Quang Ninh Province. Besides being a famous natural landscape, Yen Tu preserves numerous historical relics and is also known as “The cradle of Buddhism in Vietnam”.

Climbing for around 30-45 minutes, you’ll be able to reach a lush green courtyard, highlighted by vivid colour from different species of flowers of the a pagoda.

Standing on the highest peak of Yen Tu, one might to able to watch a panorama of the extensive North-eastern Vietnam, Bach Dang River, and especially the natural wonder Halong Bay.

 

 

4.Tam Dao Mountain – Vinh Phu Provinces

Tam Đảo range and administratively belongs to 6 districts and 1 city: Lập ThạchTam DươngBình Xuyên and the city of Vĩnh Yên of Vĩnh Phúc ProvinceSơn Dương of Tuyên Quang ProvinceĐại Từ and Phổ Yên of Thái Nguyên Province. Tam Đảo range, which is one of the terminal spurs of a larger mountainous area in the Northwest region of Vietnam. It runs 80 km from north west to south east, and has more than 20 peaks with altitudes of over 1000m. The highest summit is Tam Đảo North with an altitude of 1592 m. Three other peaks with beautiful scenery are Thien Thi at 1375 m, Thach Ban at 1388 m and Phu Nghia at 1300 m. Sharp peaks with sloping sides and numerous, deep partitions are characteristic of the topology.Due to the tall mountainous range that splits the area into two parts, the national park's climatic condition is divided into two areas with different rainfalls. This difference and some other factors such as the effect of human activity divide the park into some smaller climatic zones which increase the bio-diversity in the park.

 

5.Hong Linh Mountain – Ha Tinh Province

Hong Linh is a mountain range in Hà Tĩnh Province and Nghệ An ProvinceVietnam. Hồng Lĩnh is the  Sino-Vietnamese name (literally "red mountain range"); the demotic  folk name is Rú Hông. The mountains famously have 99 peaks. In earlier days villagers went into the Hong Linh mountains at times of poor crops for hunting and harvesting rattan and leaves to make raincoats and hats. 

Hong Linh has many caves in the mountains, streams and, ponds.

 

 

6.Son Tra Mountain- Da Nang Province:

Jutting out into the sea, the Son Tra Peninsula is crowned by the Son Tra Mountain that the American soldiers during the Viet Nam War called Monkey Mountain. The 13.5km-long mountain to the northeast of Da Nang acts as a barrier protecting the city from strong winds and storms coming in from the sea. Son Tra is the habitat of more than 100 species of fauna, including 8 rare animals like the red-shanked doucs.  The diverse flora here comprises 289 plant species, including 64 large tree species and 107 medicinal and ornamental plants.  

The protection of the fauna and flora systems of Son Tra will contribute to conserving the biodiversity and natural beauty of the city.  It is an ideal place for sightseeing, tourism, convalescence and cultural activities.

 

7.Bach Ma mountain- Hue Province

50 kilometers away from the southern of Hue. Near the seaside, mountain climate is so readily. In particular, stand on the top of the mountain, visitors can see the winding Hai Van col, Tuy van mountain, Cau Hai pool and the city of hue all majestic scenery. Bach Ma Mountain is height 1500m , Traveler are advised to visit Bach Ma on February, when famous red Rhododendron simsii blossom along small streams and in particular at the bottom of the Rhododendron waterfall. During that period of time, the weather is ideally dry with favorable temperatures. In addition, summer is tourism season as people want to escape the heat, from June to August.

 

 

8.Hon Ba Mountain – Nha Trang Province

Featuring cool climate and fantastic terrain, Hon Ba is an attractive destination for tourists , especially young people, in Khanh Hoa Province. 

Travlers can go to the mountain by motorbike in stead of car to get more adventurous feelings. The road to Hon Ba winds along the mountain, creating beautiful landscapes for tourists to take photographs. Overcoming about 60 kilometers, the group reached Hon Ba peak at an altitude of 1,578 meters. Hon Ba appeared wild and impressive with immense forests, high mountains and wrapped by drifting clouds.

 Don’t forget to visit the wooden house which was built by Dr.Alexandre Yersin. When he lived in Hon Ba mountain for working, he has made the herbal garden and still has retained 2 old tea trees up to now.

 

9.Liang Biang Mountain – Lam Dong Province

Langbiang Mountain is located in Lac Duong district which is 12 km from Dalat in the North. With its height of 2,169m above the sea level, Langbiang Mountain has not only been an attractive tourist site but also kept a legend about a passionate love.

Nowadays, Langbiang tourist site has been known by a lot of local and foreign tourists with its multiform biology of plants, animals and its attractive amusements such as climbing mountain, camping, taking eco-tours and researching native culture. If you want to conquer the top mountain, you should go by walking.

 

10. Ba Den Mountain – Tay Ninh Province

Ba Den (Bà Đen) Mountain is 986 meters high. It is in a plain of Hoa Thanh (Hòa Thành) district - 10 kilometers from the southwest of Tay Ninh (Tây Ninh) town. From a distance, Ba Den looks like a broad-brimmed hat on a plain. There are a lot of ancient pagodas, beautiful, wild caves and many kinds of century-old tree.

The access to the top of Ba Den Mountain is very bendy. There are also many beautiful sites. On the mountain, tourists have a chance to look at the panorama of this place and the surroundings. There is an altar of Ba Den  and a pagoda of Buddha. Behind the pagoda, there is an access to the statue of the Buddha attained Nirvana, to the wind cave, Son Than (Sơn Thần) (The god of the mountain) cavern with the Thien (Thiên) stone. 

11.Chua Chan Mountain – Dong Nai Province

 Chua Chan Mountain (so-called Gia Ray Mountain or Gia Lao Mountain) is a charming famous landscape in Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province.: Chua Chan Mountain is the second highest mountain of the South region and the Mekong Delta, with an altitude of 836 meters above sea level.

Although it is not very high in comparison with other mountains in Vietnam, it is a rather charming and potential tourist attraction. Chua Chan Mountain is famous for the imposing shape, majestic scenery, and beautiful natural cave. Also, it has high, dangerous and sheer rocks and thick forest with thousands of plants and animals, waterfall pouring down all year round. Specially, at an altitude of 600 meters, Chua Chan Mountain has a holly pagoda- Buu Quang Pagoda (so-called Gia Lao Pagoda), which was built a long time ago. Every year, on Tet holiday or the full moon days of the lunar January, April, and July large crowds of pilgrims travel to the Pagoda, and Chua Chan Mountain has been chosen as a tourist destination by lots of people. 

 

 12. Ba Ra Mountain – Binh Phuoc Province:

If you want a new destination for your weekend getaway, you are advised to give Ba Ra Mountain in Binh Phuoc Province a try.

Ba Ra Mountain, known as the third highest mountain in the southern region, after Ba Den in Tay Ninh Province and Chua Chan in Dong Nai Province, is over 720 meters high. It lies in Phuoc Long Town, which is around 180 kilometers from HCMC, and is easily accessible by road.

On the way to the mountain, visitors may enjoy traveling on the snaking road with vast rubber plantations on both sides. To reach the height of 700 meters, visitors can take a 15-minute cable car ride. However, it will be more fascinating to walk along the shady path and the steep stone stairway consisting of 1,767 steps leading to the top.

The beautiful path, over seven kilometers long, is under the shades of many different trees, most of them bamboo. If you don’t mind having some workout, a walk would be a nice experience. Since there are few short breaks during the climb, it will take you just around 30 minutes to ascend from Bang Lang hill, where the stone staircase starts to the peak.
