HA NAM INTRODUCTION:

Ha Nam has a natural area of nearly 900Km2 and a population of over 80 thousand people. This is the southern gateway of the capital Ha Noi, adjacent to the key economic region of the North. Ha Nam is also located in a very favourable position with road system, railway, waterwaysand are available with 1A national road, Cau Gie – Ninh Binh highway, national roads No.38, No.21 and the South-North railway line,… all of which gives Ha Nam to gain the advantage of being a transport link connecting North-East provinces with Hai Phong seaport and Noi Bai International airport, border gate in the Nothern.

Ha Nam has many favorable conditions such as: young human resource, geographical location, infrastructure, land, natural resources, limestone, … Ha Nam people are famous for their hospitality, diligence, creativity humanities. Ha Nam always considers industrial field as a driving force of fast , efficient and sustainable socio-economic development and aim to become an industrial province by 2020. Along with industrial development, Ha Nam province always put agriculture business in strategic location and regarding it as an important prerequisite for socio-econnomic development, political stability, security and defense.

Ha Nam considers investment cooperation is a very important task to promote social-economic.Ha Nam always gives priority to attract investments in sectors having advantages of advanced and environmental friendly technology, namely : industrial engineering, fabrication, assembling, supporting industries, productionof componentsand assembling of electronic devices, service industries, processing industries, farming, animal husbandry etc.;

Ha Nam attaches great importance to the training and promotion of human resource development on the basic of comprehensive education and has been successfully implementing social welfare policies to enhance enjoyment of people culture and spiritual values. Ha Nam also calls for investment in building medical centers with regional-level quality, Nam Cao University area; investment and development of eco-tourism, spirituality, golf-court; investing in infrastructure development for systems of new urban areas and restaurants, high-quality and modern hotels.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC:

In the period 2011-2015, the socio-economic has made very powerful and has achieved important results.

Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) has been increased by average of 13.05%/year. GRPD per capita in 2015 reached $2,000. Economic structure strongly shift towards industrial construction and reducing agricultural economics (in 2015:construction industry covered 58%, services 29.4%, agriculture, forestry and fisheries is 12.6%).

To June 2015, Ha Nam province has over 500 investment projects which are in effect with a registered capital of over US $3.36 billion of which are 144 FDI projects with total registered capital of 1.31 billion USD. Particularly in the Industrial zones there are 205 investment projects of which there are 112 valid FDI projects with the tall registered capital of US $1,196 million and 93 domestic projects with the total registered capital of VND 9,126 billion.
